Entourage crashes as soon as it checks mail

Can't get Entourage to stay open. As soon as it opens and tries to
check for mail, it crashes. It's never done this before and I have
lots of mail I need to save. I can set up a new Entourage, but how do
I get to my old mail? What has corrupted the program, and how do I get
around it?

I have had this too, but solved it simply in the end.

What you have probably got is a corrupted / dodgy email that your ISP
is sending through and is tripping up entourage. Go into your email
account using webmail, delete all dodgy / unknown emails there, keeping
only the ones you want. Then log out of webmail and open
entourage...hopefully you will be sorted. Reloading entourage wont
help because its the email thats the problem.
