entourage crashes during sync with palm

Running PowerBook G3
Mac OS 9
Palm DeskTop 2.6
Palm m500
syncing with USB

was running fine for over a year. then, starts crashing (everytime)
when the sync is working on the Date Book. all other components
(addresses, to-do list, etc.) sync fine....Date Book doesn't work
anymore...

re-installed all Palm software. rebuilt Desktop file. reset PRAM.
nothing working.

can anyone help with an idea?

Make sure all recurring events that you are synchronizing have end dates.
