Entourage Crashing upon Downloading emails.

Hello Everyone,

I was hoping someone here could help me.
Since last week I have not been able to download my email using entourage.
Every time I hit send & receive, I see the emails downloading in the
progress bar but then when it downloads the last email, entourage just
crashes and gives me no new email to look at. I tried sending myself an
email and it works, I downloaded all my wife's email using her identity and
it worked.
Also, as of late, every time I launch entourage, it shows me all the old
emails at the top instead of the other way around (so every time I have to
click on the little triangle in the "received" column. Weird.

I have a feeling that I must have some sort of corrupted email in my box but
I have no idea how to figure out which one it is.

Help!!

As you later surmised, this is probably due to a corrupted email.

After you crash? Set your columns they want you want and then quit. When you
re-launch, they should be good. If not, a database rebuild might help.

When this happens to me, I go on the internet and access my e-mail via
webmail through my carrier. Then I read and delete the e-mails from there,
instead of through Entourage. Then, the next time I send a receive through
Entourage, the offending e-mail is gone and Entourage works fine. This has
happened probably three times in the past year. Usually, there is some
malicious code in the e-mail trying to come in that crashes Entourage.
However, it is not exclusive to Entourage, it happens in Outlook for Windows
as well.
