Entourage creates strange noise while syncing...

My PowerBook makes a strange sound when Entourage starts syncing that I
can't quite pin down. Lasts 2 or 3 seconds. Something physical in the
computer, not in the system, not coming out of the speaker.

Anyone else, or is mine just possessed? :)

P.S. I believe this is related to the hanging issue. I get the sound
when it syncs and when it pauses or beachballs.

Is it the sound of disk access? If not, if it is mechanical then you need to
get it looked at quickly before the disk dies on you.

I have the same issue. I get the "strange noise" whenever I get the
hanging issue. I believe the noise is disk access occuring.
