entourage data

hi,
i mistakingly moved my microsoft data into the trash last night.
then i opened my entourage today and there was nothing in it.

can you help me find out where my data is?

If you haven't actively used Finder | Empty Trash, then it's still in
the trash. Just drag it back from the trash into your
~/Documents/Microsoft User Data folder.

thanks Dalya, i see it there but entourage won't let me import it in.
i restarted but it still doesn't recognize it. any other steps or
suggestions?

Your Entourage data is stored in an Identity folder (normally
~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2004 Identities/Main Identity).
Inside that folder are four files: Database, Mailing Lists, Rules,
Signatures.

So that's the setup you need to recover your data--an Identity folder
with four files inside. If you have an Identity folder in the location
as above, just use Entourage | Switch Identity to access it, no
importing needed. It doesn't matter whether the folder is called Main
Identity or something else.

If you can't restore that file setup by moving files around, then please
explain:

Exactly what file did you move into the trash, and what did you drag out
of the trash, and where is it now? Also, what version of Entourage and OS?
