Entourage database and identity have disappeared

I tried to send an email and was unable to insert my default
signature. Following this Entourage v.X crashed and when I restarted
applicaton it was if I had newly installed it, i.e all emails and contacts had
gone. I searched in Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office X Identities/
Main Identity and tried to locate my database but it is nowhere on my
system. There dosent seem to be any database anywhere other that the
standard 400k database when originally installed

Can anyone help !!?
