Entourage database won't rebuild!

My entourage X database gave me a warning a few days ago that it was
getting full... I purged some big messages with attachments to clear
space but the warning reapeared a couple of days later. It said that I
could rebuild the database by restarting the app and holding option...

Did that and it says the database is broken... I loaded up a backup of
the database from a day ago and now that one isn't working either...
Any way to recover?

Most likely you will not be able to recover unless you have an older backup.
Go into the Microsoft User Data folder and try to use the backup file that
was created when you did the rebuild.

Entourage X saves the old files as "Old Database Cache" and "Old Database".
Move out the new files and remove "old" from the names and see if Entourage
can open the original files.

Make sure you have enough hard disk space available for twice the size of
your database. As part of the rebuilding process, Entourage creates a second
database file.
