Entourage Database

I'm just new to this group so I don¹t know of the solution is given before

I deleted the databasefolder of Entourage (from my Office X identity/main
User) accidenty luckey I made a copy on a different hrad disk size is 990 MB
When I started entourage al my mails adressen en other things where gone
After putting the copiied Database in the folder Of Microsoft User Data
Still doesn't work I even rebuild the database but no mails

Is there a solution
I'M a little despared

Why Microsoft Entourage builds up a database with every message I received,
including attachments, the user may or may not access these files, but
certainly he cannot delete them. The system is an unwelcome intrusion in
your computer.

I don't want entourage to construct these huge files with no option given to
the user. I know that many people have problem with this perverted procedure


And yes, there is a way, a hard way, to disable it:

First, keep back up of your important email in a word processor file, even
text word processor.

Make and keep a copy of your address book.

Do not keep any folder like PENDING or something like that in Entourage.
Back information in your emails in word processor files.

Then, dump the stupid overstuffed message file in the garbage!!



Entourage does not like this and it will not work until you make a REBUILD,
try the first one, you may be lucky, but probably you will have to try the
TOTAL REBUILD. During a total rebuild you may lose a lot of information,
that is why it is very important to back up information in other
non-entourage files.

If you don't want any of your message handing around in your hard disc, wipe
all deleted files from disc.
