is trying to help you out of the goodness of their hearts, it's rude to
challenge them. You posed a problem:

And I posed a technique for investigating a possible cause:
Are you running any anti-virus software? If so, stop running it and see
if the problem stops.
So obviously I think the answer *might* be: "Perhaps it is deleting
everything [in your Entourage database] every time you turn the computer
off or reboot!" Duh!! So if you're running any anti-virus software,
please try the experiment I asked you try, so we can find out. If that
turns out not to be the case, then that's good - we've eliminated one
theory and can work on another. That's science. m.
