Entourage deleting emails -- before they've been read!

Just got back from a month-long vacation and discovered Entourage had
deleted a whole series of emails from the first week or so while I was
away. The last 3 weeks worth of messages are intact. Why did this
happen? Is there anyway to prevent from happening in the future?

Entourage itself does not delete anything automatically unless you have set
up a schedule to do so. Check your "Schedules" under the Tools menu, and see
what you have there.

If you are using IMAP or Exchange services, the deletion may be happening on
your remote server, not within Entourage.

In your menubar go to Tools>Accounts. In the Accounts window select
your account. Click on edit. In the Edit Account window click on
Options. Uncheck or edit the 'Delete messages from server after ___
days option.

You'll need to do this for each account you have.
