Entourage doesn't work with Exchange 2003

Just upgraded our Exchange to 2003 version. All the Email clients (Outlooks
2000 and 2003)
work just fine. However a user on OSX with Entourage and Mail can't connect
to the Exchange server.
Hitting Send and Receive doesn't produce any error messages and doesn't
download any emails.
All the settings are correct. Tried following an article that i've found on
the internet which said to use ip
address of the server instead of DNS name but that didn't help. Can ping
exchange server successfully
from the lap using either IP or FQDN and am able to access the internet.
Any other ideas would be much appreicated.

Thank You

Having the same issue. Just posted a question to the group. We were
successfully running this until about a week ago. All settings are
correct, but nothing happens when hitting send/receive. All proxies
are correct and the Mac are all running 10.3.8 and 10.3.9 with the
Entourage 2004 client. Exchange Server recently had a Service Pack
installed, but that was after the clients stopped responding. The only
thing I can think of was that the Macs were updated to 10.3.9. Are
there any known issues with the latests OS X security updates?? DNS
works fine, I can ping Exchage Server with both IP and simply the name
of the server. It seems like name is not resolving, but no changes
have been made on DNS Server. Also tried point client to web access
per Microsoft documentation, but that did not work. It is really
wierd!!!!

Make sure you have the latest Entourage updates and that the Exchange server
is running all the requisite protocols.

Server-side requirements

a.. Microsoft Exchange Server 2000 (with Service Pack 2) or later
b.. Outlook Web Access must be installed and active
c.. The following protocols must be enabled: IMAP, SMTP, HTTP DAV (Outlook
Web Access), and LDAP
