entourage e-mails won't send

Yesterday I attempted to download the Microsoft office 2004 update 11.2.3 to
sync entourage with my address book, but when I reached the installation
stage, I was told that the software to be updated couldn't be found. I
deleted (I hope) the download from my hard drive.
Now, in trying to send any e-mail, I get the following error message "sorry,
syntax error or rejected address, please forward to your postmaster".
I work for myself and have no postmaster - can you help?

How do I do this?

Thanks!

You could sniff the connection to see what's being sent to the server
just before the error.

Most of Microsoft's Mac support site for Office was down from Thursday
until today for an "update". Chances are that you tried accessing the
site while the updates were unavailable.

Try running the Microsoft AutoUpdate application again or revisit
<http://www.microsoft.com/mac> and download the updates from there.
Begin with the 11.3.5 update, which rolls up all prior updates into one.
Then apply updates 11.3.6 through 11.3.9.

Hope this helps!

The site is still having troubles. I have direct links posted for the
