Entourage error 17897

I'm getting this error :"Authentication failed because Entourage doesn't
support any of the available authentication methods"

Normally its an easy fix as the issue is supposed to be only with POP
hotmail or msn accounts. However I'm getting this eerror when the user is
send mail though our smtp server with an IMAP account. No body else gets
this error.
The other strange thing is that this happens about once a month for her ! I
just have to delete the account and re-create it and it suddenly works
properly.
Any one have an idea on this one ?

User is on Entourage 2004 sp2 and Mac OS X 10.4.2 with the latest updates.

So has anyone ever encountered this ?
By the way, I have uninstalled/re-installed Office while removing all
components and even the system has been re-instaled since this has started
happening

Still no pick... This is strange.. No one anywhere seems to have any idea
about this error message except when its attached to a hotmail account.
Any one have an idea why this happens with an IMAP account ?
