Entourage Error Type 2 when retreiving messages

I am suddenly getting a Type 2 error and unexpectedly quiting every
time Entourage tries to retrieve messages. This happened from one day
to the next - nothing was changed on the system. I've zapped the PRAM,
rebuilt the desktop, reinstalled Entourage, created a new internet
preferences file, reset my modem and router and run Norton. Ideas,
anyone?

What version of Entourage? Type 2 errors are memory errors in OS9. It could
be the malformed spam message:

A malformed spam message was sent to many people causing the Junk Mail
Filter to fail. The cause of this is a missing bracket within the header
information. The JMF cannot parse the information and fails.

Turning off the JMF after you have a crash situation, Re-downloading the
mail, deleting the bad message, and then re-enabling the filter is the
easiest workaround.
