Appologies if this is posted elsewhere.

When our Entourage users exceed their mailbox limits on exchange server they
can continue to send emails without any alerts.

Is this standard behaviour?

Entourage v.X (10.1.6)
Exchnage 2003 SP1

many thanks in advance to anyone who replies.

I suspect that with Entourage X it is. Entourage X actually uses IMAP
for receiving e-mail and the SMTP for sending. As long as your SMTP
doesn't give them any warning, e-mail can be sent.

Entourage 2004 is a different beast though...

Many Thanks for the info,

Can you or anybody else confirm that Entourage 2004 will not allow people to
send emails once they are past their exchange mailbox limits?

Entourage 2004 SP2 will both prohibit the sending and provide a notification
to the user via a dialog when attempting to send.
