Entourage, Exchange and SMTP

I need to use Entourage to send email to an Exchange 2000 server;
however, this particular server uses only SMTP for both incoming and
outgoing mail. I see that Entourage will only use IMAP.

Is there a work-around?

You must be mistaken. SMTP is a protocol that is specific to sending mail.
It cannot be used for receiving mail from a mailbox.

It could be that the Exchange server only has MAPI enabled for getting mail.
In that case the admin would need to turn on either IMAP or POP for
Entourage to get mail.
