Hey,
Can somebody PLEASE help with this issue?
I am working in Entourage connecting to an Exchange server through a VPN.
Within the last week or two, Entourage has been taking about half of my
incoming messages from my Exchange server, dumping them in to my local
inbox, then marking them as deleted on the Exchange server (which moves them
into the Deleted Items folder, which I don't clean automatically). This has
been happening only with newly received messages. There is no rhyme or
reason to them. Two messages from the same person sent within minutes of
each other end up in different places.
It started all by itself. I changed no settings, but did install the SP1
update. I'm loathe to uninstall the update (or re-install all the software)
because SP1 is really making Word and Excel operate much better.
Now I have to move messages back onto my Exchange server manually to be able
to respond or forward. This creates duplicate message in by Deleted items
folder when I delete the messages (which makes our netadmin mad). When I do
that, the message takes its From: and applies my POP account and tried to
send from that ‹ which it can't do as long as I'm on the VPN, so I have to
re-open the message from the Outbox, change the From account and resend it.
I've read and tried the advice from the .Mac folks about deleting the
database and prefs files, which I did. Now, when I set up my Exchange
account again, it's left ONE MESSAGE in my Exchange inbox and dumped the
rest (140) into my local inbox.
I would like to know that Microsoft is aware of this and working on it
without having to spend $35 to call.
A little help would be greatly appreciated!
