Entourage Exchange NT4 help !

Hi there,

I'm looking for help !

Conditions:
Entourage 2004 on Tiger 10.41
a MS exchange Server on NT4 version 5.5

I use only IMAP configuration to get mail but the same name of server
on SMTP field , I can't send mail !

it was working well with outlook 2001, but the same parameters won't
work with Entourage 2004.

So I must use IMAP configuration.

Why can't I get the possibilities to send mail ?

Please help !

Outlook 2001 uses MAPI only, which is the same protocol as Outlook for
Windows. Entourage can not use this protocol and therefore you must use
either IMAP or POP/SMTP with your Exchange 5.5 server.

Your problem sounds like you may need to authenticate to the server when
trying to send mail through it. Mail servers are configured not to allow
just anyone to send mail. That would be a security risk.
