Entourage Exchange Problems

Well I'm almost at the point of seeing if this laptop can be double as a
Frisbee.

I can connect using Outlook in the set-up but still cannot get emails to go
out.

Has anyone been successful at getting Entourage to connect to an Exchange
server and if so can you pass along how you managed to do it?

Thanks,

Kenny

Hi,

Using Outlook in the Setup ?? You mean OWA (Outlook Web Access) ???

Using the OWA server in my settings, I have no problem of this sort. You
receive e-mails but you can't send at all ?? What error message do you
get ??

I get a connection indication but I cannot receive email or send email using
Entourage. When I try to send an email I get an "unknown error (170)"

I checked with our IT department and our Exchange server has everything set
that Entourage needs to work ie server 2000 or later, service pack 2 or
later, Outlook Access, and LDAP,

I do get email addresses from the server when I type them in.

Ideas?

Thanks,

Kenny

It might be something in the settings then. I remember seing a problem
like that with a problem in the e-mail address. The Reply-to e-mail
address is used by the server to check that you really have an account
on the server. If there is a typo in the address, then the server
"thinks" you don't have an account and blocks the outgoing e-mail.
Her we have two types of addresses:

[email protected]
and
[email protected]

I HAVE to put the first one in the E-Mail Address field of the Exchange
settings otherwise I cannot send the e-mails.
