Entourage failing to log on to IMAP server

My Entourage no longer logs on to my IMAP server in order to look for
new mail.

Entourage has been running happily for months, connecting to my server,
seeking new mail and alerting me.

I recently rebuilt my database, but have not changed any of my account
or schedule details. In the border of my Entourage window, I still see
the "Schedule send a receive will run..." details, but at the moment of
scheduled retrieval, nothing happens.

I can, however, get Entourage to seek for new mail by selecting another
IMAP folder, such as junk mail, and then reselecting my Inbox.

What could have hapened? And what must I do to get Entourage to connect
and retrieve automatically again?

Entourage 2004 Version 11 on Mac OS 10.4.7

Go to Tools > Schedules, and open your "Send & Receive All" schedule. Make
sure that there is an action to "Receive Mail" from your IMAP server; if
not, add it (you may want to delete the existing one and add a new one even
if it's there). Then, click the "synchronization options" button, and make
sure the "Inbox" is checked.

Some users choose to use the "Live Sync" option in Tools > Accounts, under
the "Options" tab for IMAP accounts so that messages in the Inbox are
retrieved automatically.

Thank you so much - that worked perfectly!
