entourage failing to sync tasks

After several months of not having any problems, I just tried to sync
Entourage 2004 with my Palm Tungsten E and I noticed that the Tasks failed
to sync. I have since tried setting the conduit such that the Palm
overwrites Entourage (and vice versa) and it still doesn't work. I've
verified the integrity of the database and also tried compacting it wih the
same result.

Just to reiterate, I've been doing this for several months now with no
problems, so I'm sure that I'm using the correct conduit, etc.

Can anyone make a suggestion as to what is wrong and how to fix it? Thanks!

P.S. I'm running OS X 10.3.5.

You say you've been doing this for several months so you know it's not the
conduit. However, Office 2004 hasn't been out for that long. The question
is, have you done a successful sync since you installed Office 2004? The
old conduit (for Office X) doesn't work with Entourage 2004. You need the
new conduit that can be found in the Additional Tools folder (either on the
Office 2004 CD or in your Microsoft Office 2004 folder in the Applications
folder).
