Entourage Fails to Hotsync, Can't Edit Conduit

Anyone having a problem with Entourage 2004 failing to HotSync, even though
it¹s going through the motions? I can¹t open the conduit in HotSync Manager
either to adjust the settings. Double-clicking the conduit produces no
response. I¹ve deleted the conduit several times and reinstalled, but get
the same result. And the HotSync log has no error messages.

Did you install the new conduit on the Office 2004 CD? I experienced what
you described before I realized the conduit needed separate upgrading.

Cheers,

Chris

Yes, I installed the file "Handheld Sync Installer" located in the
Additional Tools folder that Office 2004 installs in the Applications
folder.

This has been a known issue in this group. More helpful than re-installing
is simply logging out and logging back in. If it won¹t solve it after 1st
log-out, it definitely will after the 2nd. In my experience, this a weird
bug that crops up every few days, when suddenly the Entourage conduit will
not open (i.e. the settings via double-clicking), neither will it sync any
data. But the log out/in is a pretty simple workaround. Please write back
 did it work for you?

Logging out and back in does allow the conduit to both run and be changed.
However, the Entourage conduit crashes HotSync when it begins to run. It
will get through a module or two, but that¹s all. I¹ve reinstalled the
conduit and HotSync itself, and I¹ve also trashed the preference files, but
nothing works.

Hello, I have the same proble - have installed the conduit with the
application in Additional Tools folder, logged in and out multiple
times, trashed preference files, etc. When I double-click the conduit
settings in HotSync, nothing happens. Has anyone been able to figure
out why?
