Entourage File Size Limitation

I have a graphics user account (now use Entourage with IMAP accounts)
that was using OE5 on Mac OS9. Now they have converted (finally) to
Entourage on Mac OSX. However the graphics user account has almost
4GB worth of data (lots of file attachments with graphics). How can
we change the file size limitation and/or archive the info but still
be able to access it easily? Please advise! Thanks.

You can't change the size limitation. But you can easily create duplicate
identities and archive messages:

First, you'd better backup your "Main Identity" folder... Then:
Group the messages in one (or several) folder(s)
Drag the folder(s) to your desktop
From the "Entourage" menu "Switch Identy..." item, create a New identity
Call this "2003 Archive" or something of the kind
Adjust the settings in order to avoid it to automatically "Send & Receive"
Drag your previously folder(s) from the Desktop to the left of Entourage

Now you can switch back to your main Identity and delete the messages you
don't need anymore, etc. anytime you want to search through your archive,
switch back to the wanted identity, etc...

You can also find solutions by copying it all in a FileMaker Database or so,
but the above method will keep your messages untouched. I personally prefer
it - I have one identity for each year (I keep track of a lot of messages)
and things are working fine.
