Entourage folder polling, can this be scheduled?

We use Entourage 11.2.5, all running Tiger 10.4.8. It seems that many
of our users are experiencing long lags or delays because Entourage
polls all the user created folders, but not according to the Send &
Receive schedule. Some of our users have A LOT of folders, so Entourage
polls and syncs them all and it takes a long time. My question; is
there any way to adjust this polling schedule or turn it off
completely, but still maintain the regular Send & Receive schedule?

I don't think we can do anything whatsoever for the Excahnge polling
schedules.
I hope someone will correct me, but it doesn't seem to be something we
can change,

No, this cannot be controlled or scheduled. The full "poll" only seems to
happen once, at program launch.
