Entourage font change crashes

Office 2004, Excel, Word are fine, only Entourage and only my main OSX
account. New email or any Reply, I can change the font size OK, but cannot
change the font, it just stops, crashes.. I have reloaded Office 2004,
verified fonts with Font Doctor, done several Updates to OS 10.4.4..
Stumped..

Is there a way to force Entourage to reload it¹s own fonts? Where are they
hidden?

Well, a little progress.. IF I uncheck WYSIWIG in Prefs/general, then the
fonts display and can be changed.. But if I go back and check it, even in
the middle of a test note, the next time I try, if crashes.. So the plan for
now is to leave it unchecked.. Until I can find a clue on WSYWIG workings..
