Entourage for OS X

I have recently upgrades everything to OS X version 10.3.9 and so
bought Office for mac and it's driving me nutty!!
2 weird things are happening, firstly I have 2 accounts one is my main
account and the other is a mail forwarded address for my business which
comes in through the main account but has a diffrent address, but I get
2 messages for each new mail on both accounts, which is filling up my
mail box.

The other probelm is, when relpying to a message it doesn't reply using
my same address it came in on, I have changed the prefs and unticked
'reply using default account' in fact I have tried both ways!! to no
joy. I have reinstalled the software but that didn't help. I may have
to use the mac mail program which is annoying as I want this to work.

I'm assuming that you set up two POP acconts in Entourage to check the
accounts. With this assumption in mind, Entourage is checking the account
twice...once for each POP account you setup. The messages are all arriving
in your main account, but you have 2 accounts checking the same server
mailbox, hence the duplicate messages.

Remove the information in the "Receiving mail" section of the forwarded
address account. This will make it a send-only account. Then you will be
downloading message only once using your main account setup, but you'll
still be able to send messages with a return address of your forwarding
account.

I'm guessing that it's not always picking the wrong account. Entourage keeps
track of which Entourage account downloaded the message and, with the option
you mention unchecked, will reply with that account. You can see which
account downloaded the message by showing the "Account" column in the Inbox.
To do so, select your Inbox and, from the "View" menu, select
"Columns->Accounts".
