Entourage freezes when selecting an email

Entourage 2001 on OS 9.2.2 is freezing each time I select a specific
email. Since I can't select the email without freezing, how can I get
rid of the email? It appears the email is corrupt. TIA, Dana

Dana,

You should be able to delete the message by turning off the Preview
Pane long enough to remove it.

Launch Entourage. Go to the View menu or Entourage preferences and turn
off the Preview Pane, then find the errant message and delete it. You
can then re-enable the Preview Pane and get back to normal.
