Entourage freezing when Quitting

Within the last couple of days, I've noticed that Entourage seems to work
flawlessly until I quit the application. It freezes and I have to eventually
shutdown my Powerbook and reboot. I am running OS X Tiger (10.4.2) on a 15"
Powerbook G4.

Do you have Exchange ?? ?Icould the application be trying to sync with
the server ?? What happens is you wait *a very long time* ? does the app
then finally quits ???

I have the same problem and don't use Exchange. Microsoft User Data is
on a flash drive with aliases on each computer to be used. Two of three
computers have no problem; 2Mhz G5 (Panther) freezes on quit. Actually
slowly quits. Takes more than a minute and sometimes needs to be force
quit. other two computers are G4 powerbook and G5 imac. both of these
running Tiger. Can't upgrade the G4 to Tiger yet because of some
vicomsoft issues.

Thoughts for a solution?

If several computers work on the same MUD folder, then it's something
specific to this computer. If you create a new user account on this Mac
and try to run it from there, do you get the same problem ??

Flash memory is SLOW. I think you either need another solution, or more
patience.
Maybe an iPod or other small hard drive is a better bet...
