Does anyone know how to alphabetize within groups in the address book?
Or how to keep the group contents stable when mailing? Is there a way to
print out names and email addresses as a reference list?

Does anyone know how to alphabetize within groups in the address book?

To alphabetize by first name (or first character really - yes, I know it's
silly), you just click the "Sort List" button in the open group.

To alphabetize by last name, get "Group Sort X" script at

MacScripter.net <http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/>

It can do all your groups at once or one at a time.

Or how to keep the group contents stable when mailing?

What do you mean?
Is there a way to
print out names and email addresses as a reference list?

The easiest way is to just drag the group entry icon (closed, not open!)
from the Address Book to an open text editor (TextEdit) or Word doc or an
Entourage note. (You can also drag it to your desktop but then it's a
clipping which can't be copied.)
