Entourage Graphics Gone

All emails that generally come with an HTML message suddenly will only
display a placeholder for graphics. Some that must be intensive HTML
(guessing a bit here) are completely blank. The text generally,
however, seems to show up fine - just a picture problem.
Thanks for any ideas!

Are you connected to the internet? Does Entourage seem to recognize the
connection (in other words, can you send & receive mail)? Have you made
sure that you are not working offline (check the Entourage or File menu)?

If you are using Entourage 2001 or Entourage X, go to Entourage > Mail &
News Preferences (or Edit > Preferences > Mail & News), and then, under
"Read" make sure that the option to "Allow network access" is checked, and
then click OK.

If you are using Entourage 2004, you should see a button above the message
that allows you to download images. Click it. It looks like this:

In the future, please state which version of Entourage you are using.

A new security feature in Entourage 2004 blocks the display of pictures (and
other linked mail content) hosted on remote sites. Images can be loaded for
individual messages by clicking on the ŒDownload Pictures¹ link in the
yellow message status bar. This was a huge feature request from users that
found the all embracing ŒAll Pictures¹ or ŒNo Pictures¹ too limiting.

There is a setting in the security section of the preferences to
automatically download pictures from recipients who are in your address
book. That should suffice for most users.

Thank you Mickey,
I am using Entourage X Release 1 Version 10.1.6.
My Allow Network Access was already checked.
I recently switched to Hughes satellite internet so it is always on. It was
working fine till recenlty. Mail comes and goes fine all the time.
Suddenly Entourage has begun freezing up, especially when on an Apple email
that is graphic heavy - and I have to force quit.
In response to Barry's thoughts, since I don't have Ent 2004 I do not have
the CE Download option. I did not see a security section in preferences,
although found the one in tools, accounts, advanced receiving - but they did
not appear pertinent.
Most emails are fine, but anything that appears like a webpage in the
preview pane - text shows (as far as I can tell) and where images would be
are the placeholders still.
Any other ideas?
Many thanks for your time
