I'm running Jaguar 10.2.6 on a beige G3 tower w/256mb RAM. (Actually its
my wife's machine) I have Entourage 10.0.0. Lately, whenever I start
Entourage, after a minute or so, it will show the spinning beach ball
and at that point Entourage will not respond and the beach ball just
spins. I have to force quit the program, but upon launching it again, I
am told that a particular file is corrupt. First, after the splash
screen comes up, I am told that the OE Rules files is corrupt. I click
OK and the program quits. I remove the file from my Office Identities
folder and relaunch the program. The next file is the Mailing Lists and
then after removing that file and relaunching, I am told the Signatures
file is corrupt. Once I've removed them all, Entourage will startup with
no messages, but this is where we start to loop. After a minute, the
beach ball shows up...
I don't think its having a problem with a particular email, as I can
manipulate mail before the beach ball show up. I've deleted a couple of
messages and read some others (quickly).
I hope I've provided enough for someone to pass along a tip or a fix,
but its hard troubleshooting this one.
