Entourage hangs up when checking mail

Recently Entourage (10.3.3 running on 10.4.8) has been hanging up at
least once a day when it goes out to check mail on the Cox POP mail
server. I have rebuilt the database as well as compacted it and have
verified persmissions, but the problem is still occurring.

Any suggestions?

I think there is a typo in your version #. You need to upgrade to the latest
version for Entourage X: 10.1.9

Since this is a random thing, I would look to your IPS as the probably
cause. You can install tcpflow to watch the traffic and you might be able to
see what is happening when the hang occurs.
