Entourage Hangs with Heavy Disk Activity

This seems to be happening more and more - Entourage will just hang for
minutes at a time with heavy disk activity. Sometimes it frees up;
other times I have to force quit.

Any idea why?

Do you have big projects with contacts each sending you numbers of
e-mails ?? On my Mac, hving a lot of e-mails associated with a contact
has the exact same result.

Actually, yes - I have been using Projects extensively including linked
Contacts and linked files. It feels like it has to re-index it's
database constantly, particularly when I go into Projects and attempt
to search within a Project for just about anything.

I suspect is searches for all e-mails from the linked contacts every
time. I gave up on adding contacts with too many e-mails to projects
because of that.
