Entourage help!!!

Ok, I trash the office X folder in applications and delete the preferences
folder for office. Why when i re-install it, is all my old mail still there
before I even import it???!!! PLEASE HELP!!!

Your mail (among other stuff) is in the "Microsoft User Data" folder, which
you can find in the "Documents" folder. This is THE important folder to
back-up :)

Note: if you want to uninstall Office, deleting the "Office X" folder is not
enough. You should use the "Remove Office" tool to be found in the
"Value-Pack" folder on the CD. But this still won't delete the "Microsoft
User Data" folder (and it's usually a good thing)!

Your data is not stored in the Office X folder. Your mail and all other
Entourage data is located in:



Entourage X : ~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office X Identities/your
identity



Note: your identity is called Main Identity unless you rename it.


Is there a reason you want to delete your mail?

If you are having problems with your mail, you could try creating a new
identity. Under Entourage in the menu bar, select Switch Identity. From the
new window select "New". This will not have any of your current mail or any
of your settings. BTW, This is a great way to test for corruption in your
current identity.
