Entourage Help!

I have both a PowerBook and a Power Mac. I use Entourage on both. What
is the best way to sync them so that the data is the most up to date?

Thanks in advance!

If you have been checking email using both machines indiscriminately,
then essentially, you can't sync if this is a POP server. That is why
IMAP was invented - to solve this problem (with IMAP, the mail is held
on the server and essentially mirrored to the local computers). If you
don't have an IMAP account, then what you can do is appoint one computer
or the other Master at all times and overwrite the database on machine 2
with the database on machine 1 when you wish to transfer mastery to
machine 2 (and you must remember which machine is master, and never
check your mail from the non-master machine). m.

This is an alternate approach to 'matt neuburg' reply:

Presuming you are using Entourage to retrieve POP mail ...

1. One approach is to set the preferences in Entourage to "Leave a copy
of each message on the server."

The mail messages will stay on the email (POP) server.

2. Also, set your preferences to "Delete messages from the server after
they are deleted from this computer" on ONE of the two Macs (for this
message, call this Mac the 'primary' Mac).

3. When you tell Entourage to delete a "message from server" on the
'primary' Mac, the next time you log in for mail the messages will be
deleted from the POP server.

Once a message is retrieved and visible in Entourage (on/by each Mac),
a deleted message on one Mac will not be deleted on another, so you
won't have true synchronization but you will be able to retrieve the
same mail to both machines.
