Entourage/Hot Sync crash

Thanks to this board, I was finally able to Hot Sync with Entourage.
I also passed it on to another board poster. You guys rock.

Now here's a fresh problem. A couple of weeks ago, I linked some
appointments to the Project Center in Entourage and could not sync at
all. I removed the links and it worked fine until now.

For some reason, I cannot Sync with my handheld. It quits upon
synching with the Date Book. I have used the Database Utilities to
verify and rebuild the database. I have disabled and re-enabled the
Hot Sync. I think my next step may be to reinstall Palm. But, I'm
concerned about uninstalling and either missing or overdeleting files.

I have a log of the synching problem if anyone can examine it, I would
really appreciate it.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, please ask me
additional questions for diagnosing the problem.

Please, please, everyone; try to remember to state what version of OS &
Office you are using. It makes it so much easier to give relevant advice
when we know your environment.

Some versions of entourage have problems with recurring events that do not
have an end date defined. You can search for events where recurrence is true
in the advanced find window. Make sure they all have an end date defined.

Thanks for the reminder. I am running 10.3.1 on a G4 733. I have MS
Office 2004 and a Palm V with OS 4.1. I've added all of the recent
updates for the Apple OS and for MS 2004.

I had previously gotten this synching to work and the problem I am
having is not with events with no ending date.

Rather, my calendar events will transfer from the Palm to Entourage
but not from Entourage to Palm. Should I reinstall the Palm OS?
And, how do I successfully uninstall the Palm OS - you know where all
the little hidden debris is actually removed from my computer.

The OS is now up to 10.3.5, but I doubt that this is the cause of your
problem.

Have you checked that the conduit prefs are set to two-way syncing?

Open up hotsync manager (in the Palm folder in Applications), under the
HotSync menu, select 'Conduit Settings', then double click the entourage
conduit.

In each of the sections displayed, make sure it is set to synchronise.
