Entourage Ignores Mac Editing Keys?

It seems that Entourage 2004 ignores the standard Mac key combinations
Cmd-Delete and Cmd-(forward) Delete for deleting entire words (while editing
messages anyway). This seems to happen regardless of whether preferences
are set for MS Office or Mac keyboard shortcuts.

Is this a bug?
