Entourage in an Exchange Environment Stinks!

Does anyone know when Microsoft plans to include MAPI support in Entourage
so that it doesn't continue to stink next to Outlook?

Microsoft as a whole seems to be moving away from MAPI. Instead of focusing
on MAPI, focus on what Entourage could potentially do with WebDAV and send
your feedback to Microsoft.

My guess is Entourage is a first attempt at using WebDAV and that MS will be
doing something similar on the PC.

I personally would rather see them do something with IMAP (with extensions,
obviously), but I guess if ain't on port 80 it ain't IT these days.

They are already doing it on the PC - each iteration of Exchange sees more
and more functionality put into webDav, and fewer and fewer new functions in
MAPI. I am expecting some future version to switch to webDav as the
preferred protocol and put MAPI into maintenance mode only, before it
disappears altogether a couple of versions further down the line.

No need. IMAP is already available for those that use it, but it's too
restrictive for all the functionality they want, and there's a perfectly
good alternative out there (and in there) already.
