You can sync tasks by following instructions here:

Hold on there, this info is incorrect. There is no way to sync tasks
between Entourage and the iPhone using Sync Services, because the
Calendar on the iPhone does not carry over tasks from iCal on the
desktop. The iPhone Calendar syncs ONLY events, not tasks.
The only way to get tasks on the iPhone is through 3rd party
applications. I have stopped using Entourage for tasks/to-dos, but the
solution I use can hook up with Entourage. I use the Appigo app Todo,
which stores tasks locally on the iPhone and syncs with the Web
service Toodledo.com. Toodledo has an iCal subscription feature which
syncs their to-do list with iCal, and if you have Sync Services on,
this info will apparently sync tasks back to Entourage. However, iCal/
Entourage sync can cause you huge headaches, whether it's Entourage
2004 or 2008--search this forum for evidence. Also, Toodledo's
solution does not encrypt or password-protect your tasks.
FYI, the iPhone has no built-in note application that can sync through
to Entourage either. Toodledo.com has a notebook that syncs to the
iPhone app Notebook, also from Appigo, and I have migrated my 300+
notes out of Entourage and into Toodleo.com notebook/Appigo Notebook.
As I have complained elsewhere, Microsoft could easily solve the
problem of syncing ALL of Entourage with the iPhone. There are a lot
of different ways that a lot of Web and iPhone developers are filling
the gap. But Microsoft is not stepping up (to be fair, neither is
Apple), so I am in the process of leaving Entourage altogether,
because of the iPhone and because of some Entourage limitations on the
desktop as well.
