Really ?? Did you try sending an e-mail to yourself to see if you could
reproduce the issue??
I suspect the the recepient of your e-mnails has either .doc or .docx
associated with a media player instead of Word.

When I send to myself it is fine.

I have sent files to this client before with no issues. I sent this file to another person I communicate with regularly just as a test and it comes as a video file he cannot open as well.

It is a two page document, something I do all the time, sent to individuals I have sent documents to previously without any issue.

I don't see what Entourage could be doing to corrupt the file.
You might want to check your preferences to make sure you are using an
encoding format for attachments that is compatible for them.
What extension do the files have on their end?

The files are word documents .doc. My preferences are set the same as they always have been. I haven't changed anything that I have been doing. It just happened from one minute to the next.

I've got to get this figured out or I will not be able to function. Most of my work is done on computer and exchanging documents by email. Any ideas where I go from here?

.... but what are they?? Are you encoding as MIME/Base64 or BinHex?? That
could make a huge difference if the format is not supported on the other
side.
And when you say that the files are .doc files, you mean on their side
right?
On yours I don't doubt that they have the proper .doc extension, I'm
just worried that they don't get decoded on their side and could still
be in the BinHex format for instance.

Switch to another encoding method in your prefs,
Make sure the files have the proper .doc extension on the recipient side
and if they do, make sure that .doc is properly associated to Word on
their computer.
