Entourage is duplicating all mail messages

Entourage is doubling all my mail messages. My co-workers don't have
this problem and I have checked the Verizon mail server and the
original messages received by the provider are not in duplicate.

I have checked the settings and for viruses. Nothing unusual.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Is there more than one account in Entourage > Account Settings? And what
*are* their settings? m.

There are two accounts and the settings are the same in each. I am not
sure, specifically, what you're asking regarding the settings. Thanks.

What sort of accounts? POP? IMAP?

You have answered the question - that's the problem. Delete one of the
accounts and you'll stop duplicating your fetch of messages. m.
Hard to believe you are suggesting to delete one of the mail-accounts.
Surely, there is a better way to do this than eliminating mail-accounts
which might be important eg. for your business.

Are the accounts identical? If so, why have them duplicated?

If the accounts are different - e.g., one for work mail, one for home mail,
each with different email addresses and servers, then the account should not
be deleted, but the original reply to Matt was rather vague and misleading.

I have two slightly different accounts.
The only difference is the SMTP Server.
I use one when I'm in the office where we connect via a proxy, and the other
at home.

However, the latter is excluded from my SEND AND RECEIVE ALL schedule.

Nevertheless, try deleting one of them and see if the duplication
problem goes away. Either way we will have learned something important -
either we will have solved the problem or we will know much more about
what might be causing the problem. m.
