Entourage is only working, if I put a copy of the program in the bin!
If I open otherwise I only can see the name (entourage) above and the
"waiting-wheel" (sorry, I have no idea what its called) - it's nothing
happening at all... Any ideas whats that all about?

What do you mean by putting a copy in the bin?

Well, I first copy the icon on the desktop...when I take this to the
bin, entourage is working properly. Hope this is a better explanation!?

No. we don't know what you mean by "the bin". The Trash?

And which "icon" are you talking about? The icon for the Microsoft Entourage
application should not normally be on your desktop in the first place.
Normally (by default) it's in the Microsoft Office 2004 folder which ought
to be in your /Applications folder. Did you make an alias to it on your
desktop? That's OK. It's not clear why putting a copy of the alias - or of
the original, for that matter - in the Trash or anywhere else should make
any difference to launching it, however. Where is the actual original, in
fact? Is it maybe on a different disk, or computer, entirely? Is it on a
server? Are you in an office where the original is somewhere else on a
server? I suppose that could account for something odd like this.

How about just rebooting your computer? Does that fix it, whatever "it" is?

First, thank you for trying to help my. By "bin" I probably mean the
trash...sorry, I'm not english and I don't know a lot of
coputerlanguage or coputer itself! I try to answer your questions, but
to be honest you ask a lot of things I have no idea about...:)
First, I'm at home, so the original of the program is on my computer.
The entourage-icon is normaly on my desktop (--> dock). I had no
problems till I suddenly couldn't open the program anymore. I clicked
on the entourage icon in the applications folder (well, I guess that
whats it called...there where all the programs are) and put it on the
desktop, having this the little green/white cross with it. As I tried
to open it from this "new" icon it still wouldn't work, so I took the
icon into the trash. I tried again to open entourage by using the
"normal" way, it suddenly worked again! As I emptied the trash a few
days later, the proplem was there again and it only worded as I did the
same thing again!
I havenn't tried to reboot my computer, because I'm defenitely not able
to do this on my own - as you probably realized reading my
"professional" explanation!:)
