Entourage keeps crashing when sync'ing Hotmail

I just installed Entourage 2008 and it seems everything is NOT
working :(

I created an account for Hotmail. It fetched the oldest 639 messages
and since it keeps crashing. I mean every time I try to sync it
Entourage crashes. Is there any limitation that I am not aware of?

No limitation.

Is it crashing when it's trying to download messages or when you are just
using the application?

I would move the Hotmail messages to a folder that will not be downloaded
into Entourage. See if Entourage works with just new messages. Depending on
how you have mail moved after downloading, you might want to create a new
Identity in Entourage for testing so you don't have any corruption that was
brought into your original 2008 Identity.

It's crashing when downloading messages. It really seems that it's
having issues with the number of messages (8000 or so). After it
downloads 600/700 messages starts crashing trying to get more.

I am going to move old messages to a different folder and see if that
helps.

Definitely sounds like corrupted or problem messages for Entourage. If you
want them on your computer, try downloading with Apple mail and store them
there. I find Apple Mail will handle messages that choke Entourage. This is
one of my pet peeves about Entourage.

Leaving mail on any service like Hotmail, Gmail or Yahoo is asking for
trouble. Just recently Gmail was having trouble and many users lost all of
their mail. When it's free you get what you pay for. So if the message are
worth keeping make a copy on your computer.
