entourage keeps sticking when i write a message & is constantlysynching with exchange

Hi, I am getting really frustrated because when I write messages in
Entourage, the little whirring rainbow wheel often starts up within
the first sentence & makes it incredibly slow to finish the message -
it starts up, whirrs & I can't type, then stops for a little bit, then
starts again. And the only reason i can think of for it is that
Entourage is connected to Exchange from my Outlook inbox at work, and
I can see that it is constantly synchronising folders (which I have
loads of). I can't seem turn turn the synchronisation of the folders
apart from the inbox off (which I can in outlook), or find any way of
getting it to do the synchronisation occasionally rather than
continually. Maybe this is not the problem, but whatever is slowing it
all down is driving me nuts! Would really appreciate help.

Hi Andrea!

Have a look at my reply in this thread a couple of months ago

I've found that several of us at work are having this problem too even
with all these ideas and suspect that if these don't work for you then
some recent Exchange Server update is causing this problem. But I don't
have anything definitive yet.
