I use Entourage from home to connect to an Exchange server and several POP
accounts. After upgrading from X to 2004 I found that after Entourage 2004
was up for a while I would begin to lose the ability to browse the web. I
begin to get more and more frequent "page not found" errors, as if I have
lost my Internet connection. When I quit Entourage the problem goes away
(sometimes not for a few minutes after quitting). A restart always fixes it
right away.
I have noticed that 2004 seems to be synchronizing with the Exchange folders
very frequently, and seems to take a long time to synchronize even folders
that have few items in them. There doesn't seem to be anyway to stop this
behavior.
The Account management pane Exchange>Advanced has a synchronization feature.
Turning synchronization off completely seems to have fixed the problem.
Has anyone else run into this behavior?
