Entourage locks up with attachments

Hi all,

Got a problem - I have Entourage X, latest patches, etc. on OS X
10.3.2. When I receive a message with an attachment, Entourage freezes,
I get the spinning beach ball, and I have to force quit and restart
Entourage.

It seems like Entourage is choking when it tries to download an
attachment immediately upon receipt of the message. After restart of
Entourage, I can open the message and download the attachment, no
problem.

My e-mail is coming in from an IMAP server, and my preview pane is
turned off.

Any help?

i have this same problem... well, at least the same spinning beach ball
problem with retrieving mail from an IMAP/Exchange server.

did you find a solution?
