Entourage mail disappeared

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)

I opened Entourage only to find that all of my old messages (beyond "Yesterday") have literally disappeared. I checked my Database and it is fine. Not sure what to do, or how to prevent it in the future. Any ideas?

First of all, make sure Entourage is not set to display unread messages
only. Verify this by checking if there is a check mark next to View>Unread
Only. If that is not the case, see if there is not a rule either in
Tools>Mailing List Manager or Tools>Rules that you do not remember creating.
If there is such a rule, disable or delete it and see if Entourage now
behaves properly. Prior to deleting the rule, you might want to have a look
at it by double-clicking it to see where it might have moved your lost
e-mail messages.

Hello Michel,

Same behavior for me. All inbox email messages before yesterday have
disappeared. I checked your suggestions below and find: View>Unread is not
checked, and I have no rules at all. Any suggestions?

Any chance you moved your Microsoft User Data or Office 2004 identities?
That's the most common reason this happens. If so, you will have to merge
the old Identity with the current one in order not to lose yesterday's (and
any more recent) messages.
