entourage making link URLs visible in received HTML email

N

news.microsoft.com

When I send an HTML email to someone using Entourage, and the message
has a link in it, which is "hidden" behind a label, Entourage makes it
visible/explicit.

In other words, instead of see a link

they see a linked URL <http://webseitz.fluxent.com/wiki> following the
label.

This is very annoying for people when I use lots of links in a page.

(I've run all the upgrades up through 10.1.4)

Try "Make Hyperlinks X" script from

MacScripter.net <http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/>

Please "Reply To Newsgroup" to reply to this message. Emails will be
ignored.

PLEASE always state which version of Entourage you are using - 2001 or X.
It's often impossible to answer your questions otherwise.

That appears to be for messages being sent from Entourage to someone else. I'm talking about how a message sent from another app *to* an Entourage user.

Ironically, you're reply demonstrates the problem I'm talking about: the word "link" in my original HTML posting *was* "hot" with no explicit bracketed URL following it: in your quoted reply (visible above) it has changed. Perhaps this is just a bug/feature of Entourage (hint: if you think it's a feature, then why don't regular web pages look like that?)?
