Entourage 2004 and Exchange 2000
I have an odd problem. If one of my Mac users sends and
email to a PC user (using Outlook 98, 2000, XP, or 2003),
the email text in the body is gone and replaced with
fragments of the mime header. In most cases those emails
cannot be opened by the Outlook client. The Outlook Web
Access client can open them (the body text remains
fragments of mime header). However, if they email another
Entourage user, the emails are fine.
The problem is that with these bad emails (and even after
completely removing them) my Information Store is now
considered a 'corrupt file' by Backup Exec (v9.1).
I paid the $245 to talk to MS about this... Money NOT
well spent. They want me to keep sending emails to
Outlook clients and then forwarding them the results. I'm
not too excited about further damaging the Information
Store so that I can take the server down to run esutil on
it (thereby losing data as well) again.
Anyone run into this or have a solution? From the looks
of this forum, Entourage seems to be a lousy product.
Other than running Outlook in classic mode on OS X, are
there any other Exchange clients for the Mac I may be
unaware of?
