Entourage nightmare

When opening Entourage was presented with a window for the entry of
Main Identity (as when you launch for the first time). Realised all
mail, accounts and mailboxes had been lost. Rebuilt database (typical
and advanced), removed preferences from library/preferences and
library/preferences/microsoft, no luck. The user/documents/microsoft
data folder is about 780 Mb, so I feel my mail is there somewhere, but
I can't figure out how to get to it.

Are the accounts, mailboxes held in the database or elsewhere, any
ideas would be much appreciated.

Try the Entourage menu in Entourage, "Switch Identity". See if your old
identity is listed there. If so, switch to it, and you'll be back in
business.
